Where to Go
Where to Go in the British Virgin Islands
The British Virgin Islands resemble a school of humpback whales on their way to somewhere else. Ships and flights arrive in Tortola, a fairly modest island with untroubled natural beauty, but the signature attraction is on Virgin Gorda, where the smooth boulders of The Baths offer one of the region’s best snorkeling spots. Divers are drawn to the Rhone National Marine Park for its excellent wreck dive sites. Otherwise, part of the pleasure of the BVI is discovering your own neck of the outlying islands, be it Jost van Dkye or Peter Island.
