Antigua drives on the left, and visitors will need a valid driver’s license as well as buy a permit to drive in Antigua, available through the rental agencies near the airport.
Taxis, distinguished by license plates beginning with the letter H, are available throughout Antigua. Fares are fixed.
Visitors can also take privately-run minivans which stop and pick up whenever the inspiration strikes.
There is no public transport on Barbuda.
