Where to Stay
Where to Stay in Barbados
6,600 rooms, 67% occupancy
Overview
Most of the luxury hotels are on the so-called Platinum West Coast, but there are villas and inns around the south coast where prices are more reasonable, and close to St. Lawrence Gap for bars and restaurants.
Deals
Shop around at the guest houses on the South Coast off season, but expect to book well in advance over the winter break or during carnival in August.
Highlights
Sandy Lane remains the most exclusive hideaway for the stars, with Coral Reef Club and the Colony Club Hotel also at the luxury end. For something different, the Atlantis Hotel on the less-visited East Coast has dramatic ocean views where the Atlantic breakers smash into the rocks, and excellent dining.
